Dr. Francis R. Palmer, a former Pennsylvania native and current resident of Southern California since the early 1970’s, has made quite a name for himself in the plastic surgery world.
Excelling in college and graduated with high honors from San Diego State University, Dr. Palmer went on to received his M.D. degree from UC Irvine School of Medicine, with an emphasis on facial plastic reconstructive surgery. He completed a five year residency program at USC-LA County Medical Center, the largest teaching medical center in the world.
After completion of his residency, Dr. Palmer completed a year long fellowship with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, where he received board certification as a facial reconstructive surgeon from the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and then, he went on to complete another year of fellowship at the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. With his almost perfect skills and knowledge, today, Dr. Palmer remains board eligible with the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery.
Since 1991, Dr. Palmer has been the Director of Facial Plastic Surgery for the Head and Neck Surgery Department at USCSM. He has been on the front lines of reconstructive facial surgery development and technique. In his own words, Dr. Palmer describes himself as “An artist whose canvas is as varied as snowflakes falling in the winter”. His believe is that as a surgeon, he must use his skills as an artist and incorporate inspiration blended with science since to affect superlative facial reconstructive surgery and aesthetic surgeries. Throughout his many years of experience, Dr. Palmer has developed and perfected several procedures to earn his title as one of the “world’s best aesthetic plastic surgeons”.
