Le Bristol has long been a favorite hotel and is renowned to appeal to all of those who appreciate luxury. It is centrally located on the oh-so-fashionable rue de Faubourg Saint-Honore. On arrival, it is the refined beauty and decadent atmosphere of this five-star establishment that strikes you, and it won’t fail to impress.
The 188 rooms and suites have not only a feeling of decadence but it is comfort at its very best, outside is the buzzing French streets in the fashionable location but inside there is a sense of calm.
After a seamless check-in, it is time to make our way past the beautifully decorated rooms and through the grand corridors to the room. As expected the Junior Suite De Luxe is absolutely stunning. The suite is charming and has the feel of an 805-square-foot Parisian apartment, made up of a bedroom, bathroom and sitting room, as it overlooks the Castellane room’s glass dome or the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. The entrance has a surprise – a vast dressing room, of course, an essential element for anyone staying in such an elegant and fashionable area.
Each Junior Suite is unique, and feature floral-print fabrics by Canovas, rosewood chests with refined lines and antique artworks, each offers its own interpretation of the Parisian elegance that perfectly exudes of Le Bristol. My favorite is the lighting and the beautiful crystal chandeliers.
It is not only the bedroom that is beautiful, but the marble bathroom is also exquisite and features a separate shower and twin basins. We also love that the sitting area is separate from the sitting area, as it promotes uninterrupted rest!
The suite may be traditionally decorated but the in-room amenities are modern, they include an iPod dock, flat-screen TV, in-room safe and minibar. There is also a complimentary newspaper daily and La Prairie bath products.
Once settled in, the next step is always the Spa Le Bristol by La Prairie for a signature massage for 60 minutes of pure self-indulgence. The hotel also has a fitness center, including a huge indoor pool and steam room.
Of course after all that exercise has built up your hunger, try the 3 Michelin star restaurant, Epicure, that specializes in fine French cuisine by the world-renowned chef, Eric Frenchon. He delights in matching unusual ingredients to great effect – it is all about ‘vive la difference’. His foie gras, smoked oysters with a duck and green tea bullion is one of those unforgettable dishes people travel to Paris to experience, and we could highly recommend in doing so! Additionally, Epicure’s sommelier Marco Pelletier will pair your dish perfectly with the finest wines.
Epicure is open from Monday through to Sunday, breakfast: 7 am – 10.30 am, lunch service 12 pm-2 pm and dinner at 7 pm-10 pm.
Other dining options include Le 114 Faubourg (international cuisine), Le Jardin Francais a bar for light meals and afternoon tea and Le Bar du Bristol.

Cons: Le Bristol gets booked up especially at Christmas and on Valentines, so make sure you are quick.
